About Ourselves...
We've always felt it to be more friendly to give our prospective house guests a little information about ourselves and our activities.
We share a great love, both of North Northumberland and our home village of Beadnell. Beach Court has been known to us for many years and we can not imagine living or working anywhere else on earth. We enjoy a mutual interest in all forms of music and regularly play at local church services and other events - Russell also played in various bands whilst I (Carole) for some years have taught dance & fitness classes 'Excerdance' around the area; perhaps I can even help you with dietary advice and fitness techniques whilst you are with us!
We are both heavily involved with many aspects of the local community and with being active members of our village church of St Ebba's, life in our beachside home is full and varied. As many of our guests return time and time again, becoming valued friends in so doing, we venture to hope that you too will shortly join their number!
Latest news: This year (2011) we are for the first time (in over 21 years of providing guest accommodation) having a break - not going on a cruise or abroad, but staying right here at our beloved Beach Court! After all where else would one go for a well earned rest or to recharge one's batteries? We are however planning various improvements and refurbishments.
We have now completely redecorated throughout, restyled the main hall and fitted the Cheviot Suite with a whirlpool bath and shower. Although now also completely refurbished, we have not however replaced the Lindisfarne Room's glorious period bathroom with the ubiquitous white suite - as a recent Dutch guest commented "it is the very spirit of the house"!
